POLIKLINIKA VINIČNÍ
The reconstruction of the Viniční polyclinic in Brno brings about the modernization of its outer shell with an emphasis on efficiency and aesthetics. The mass of the reconstructed building is divided into three buildings.
Buildings A and C have two floors above ground. Building B with six floors above ground creates the dominant feature of the building. The new cladding of the building continues the vertical division of the original facade.
In the lower buildings A and C, the verticality is created by the protruding slats. The slats are interrupted in selected places by a white raised mass on which information graphics are placed. In building A, the fire escape is moved to a less exposed location. At the same time, the staircase is simplified to a subtle steel structure.
Building B is clad with a combination of sheet metal and glass-concrete cassettes. Different types of cassettes and substructures create the plasticity of the facade.
The facade of glass-concrete cassettes creates a frame for the “zig-zag” grid. The color of the sheet metal cassettes in the “zig-zag” grid is combined in such a way as to maintain the vertical division of the facade, i.e. the black cassettes follow the windows with black frames. This division creates vertical black bands on the facade. On the facade oriented towards the city center, a V-shaped silhouette is created as a reference to the name of the building: Poliklinika Viniční. The silhouette creates a unique identity of the new facade.
The overall modernization will not only improve the technical parameters of the building, but also increase its aesthetic value and comfort for patients and staff.
